Namaste, and a heartfelt Happy Diwali to everyone! This festival of lights feels extra special for us at Karmaratha Studio, as we’re excited to share the re-release of our Mahabharata-inspired game trailer—now complete with an original soundtrack crafted exclusively for this epic journey.
Revisiting Our Journey
Back in December 2023, we gave you a first look at our game with a trailer that captured the essence of our vision. The response was overwhelming, and your enthusiasm strengthened our commitment to bring this ancient tale to life through the magic of video games. As many of you know, that initial trailer featured music from the 2013 Mahabharat series—a piece we deeply admire but used only to help set the tone and mood of the story we aim to tell.
Since then, we’ve been hard at work to create an original soundtrack that is as true to the Mahabharata’s intensity and depth as the story itself. This Diwali, we’re thrilled to present the same trailer reimagined with a unique score crafted specifically for our game—a piece that resonates with the spirit, drama, and epic scope of Mahabharata.
The Heart Behind the New Soundtrack
Creating an original soundtrack was no easy feat, especially one that could do justice to the gravitas and heroism of our characters. Each note was thoughtfully composed to echo the fierce battles, moral dilemmas, and profound journeys at the heart of our game. The result is a powerful, immersive score that brings the story of Arjun, Draupadi, Krishna, and others to life in a fresh and compelling way.
What’s Next for Karmaratha Studio
The trailer marks a milestone for us, but our journey is far from over. We’re still pushing forward with the development of our tech demo, which is on track for completion by the end of this year. While our Game Director continues to fund the project personally, we’re also actively seeking support from investors and publishers who are passionate about bringing Bharatiya folklore to a global audience.
